Fun Sports Ignite Passion for Eye Care: Dongguan Aier Protects Students' Bright Future Through Innovative Public Welfare Initiatives

DATE:2026-01-06   HITS:256

On December 30th, the campus of Pinglefang Primary School in Guancheng echoed with joyful laughter as a unique “Eye Care Station” fun sports day unfolded in full swing. Meticulously organized by Aier Eye Hospital Dongguan, the event featured seven interactive games—including “Eye Model Assembly,” “Vision Monopoly,” and “Blindfolded Brave Walkers”—allowing children to learn scientific eye care knowledge through play.

This event was more than just a collection of games; it served as an opportunity to integrate eye care concepts into children's daily lives. By reinforcing health awareness through play, it transformed eye protection into a voluntary and joyful practice for the children. This aligns with Dongguan Aier's founding mission: safeguarding children's visual health through innovative science education.

This seemingly lighthearted fun fair serves as a vivid snapshot of Dongguan Aier Eye Hospital's systematic public welfare initiatives in youth myopia prevention. The hospital remains committed to building a comprehensive “screening-education-intervention-follow-up” lifecycle protection network, ensuring each activity becomes a solid link in this safeguard system:

By the end of this academic year, Dongguan Aier Eye Hospital's public screening services have reached 7 townships across the city, visiting nearly 100 schools. The hospital has established and updated dynamic vision health records for nearly 260,000 students, providing a solid data foundation for regional myopia prevention efforts.

Science Education Matrix, Diverse Formats

Centered on the core question of “How to help children remember and take action,” we have created a multi-dimensional science communication platform:

Eye Care Station Challenge: As the core format of this campaign, it represents a new phase of gamified science communication. Seven distinct levels correspond to dimensions such as knowledge acquisition, structural comprehension, visual training, and behavioral simulation, seamlessly integrating “learning through play and practicing through learning.”

Immersive Play: “Journey to Dreamland of Eyes”

Tales weave knowledge into storytelling, blending education with entertainment.

“Junior Doctor” Career Experience

Role-playing transforms children from passive learners into active health advocates.

Eye Care Lecture Series & Cloud Classroom: Integrating online and offline platforms to extend professional guidance into home settings;

Each initiative is not isolated or fragmented but forms a critical link in a systematic, long-term public welfare prevention network—spanning screening to intervention, classroom to extracurricular activities, and individuals to families—cultivating a sustainable ecosystem for vision health.

The Spirit of Public Service Shines Through Continuity and Innovation

As a professional institution with years of dedicated work in the field of eye health, Dongguan Aier Eye Hospital has consistently prioritized myopia prevention and control among children and adolescents. Our professional practice advances continuously along two core directions:

Innovative Science Communication Pathways: From the immersive education of the situational drama “Journey to the Kingdom of Pupils” to the gamified experience of the “Eye Care Station,” and the professional simulation of “Little Doctors,” we continuously explore optimal methods for presenting science education. This ensures specialized ophthalmic knowledge is accepted and absorbed through formats children find engaging and relatable.

Building a Professional System: By establishing a comprehensive prevention chain encompassing “screening-assessment-intervention-tracking,” we provide personalized vision health plans for every student. Centered on this approach, we maintain dynamic vision records for students through township-wide screening services, ensuring end-to-end professional management from data monitoring to tailored interventions.

Safeguarding Children's Bright Childhoods: A Journey Requiring Both Warmth and Wisdom

Vision health is a vital safeguard for children's growth. Dongguan Aier Eye Hospital remains committed to professional medical care as its foundation, guided by children's needs, treating every initiative as an opportunity to sow seeds of health awareness. We not only impart scientific eye care knowledge but also strive to instill in children the awareness that they are the primary stewards of their own vision health.

Moving forward, Dongguan Aier will continue leveraging technological innovation and compassionate care to collaborate with families, schools, and communities. Together, we will empower more children to enjoy clear vision amidst laughter, while the power of public welfare—through continuous innovation and steadfast commitment—illuminates a city and warms a generation.
