It is expected that more than 200 cataract surgeries will be performed every year
Xinjiang has a vast area and many local eye disease patients, but medical resources are limited, it is difficult to meet the needs of the people, coupled with outdated equipment and weak operating room surgery-related facilities, etc., it is difficult to perform surgery. President Liu Fei introduced that after the launch of the project, the hospital will send the first batch of elite medical teams composed of 3 doctors and 3 nurses to set up a medical team to aid Xinjiang and restore the Ming Dynasty, and go to Tumshuk City as soon as possible to send visual health to local eye disease patients through "transmission, help, and bring", combining blood transfusion and hematopoiesis, helping the local area to cultivate ophthalmology professional and technical talents, increasing medical assistance, and allowing local people to enjoy the warmth of medical assistance from Dongguan.
The project is expected to be carried out for three years, during which Aier Eye Hospital will send a medical volunteer service team to the General Hospital of the Third Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps every year to provide medical assistance. Together with local medical staff, it is planned to carry out no less than 200 cataract surgeries every year, and strive to treat patients as much as possible. At the same time, the "Third Division General Hospital" will select 1-2 ophthalmic medical staff to Dongguan Aier Eye Hospital every year to study with them.

The project will carry out pairing assistance work for the "Third Division General Hospital" from multiple dimensions such as medical talents, technology, and management level, and strive to improve the medical level of eye diseases in Tumshuk City.

Next, Dongguan Aier Eye Hospital (including Dongguan, Guangzhou and Humen campuses) and the General Hospital of the Third Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are expected to establish the "Guantu Ophthalmology Specialty Alliance" in Tumushuk City on October 16, and at the same time, sign the Ophthalmology Alliance Agreement. Through this alliance, it will continue to give full play to the technical advantages of the medical expert team in Xinjiang, and continuously improve the level of ophthalmology diagnosis and treatment of the "Third Division General Hospital" through regular theoretical lectures, operational skills training, discussion of difficult cases, remote consultation, etc., and inject strong impetus into the development of eye health in the recipient areas.
"I hope that through these three years, we will realize the two-way rush between Dongguan and Xinjiang, and strive to assist the 'General Hospital of the Third Division' to cultivate a professional medical team with excellent medical quality, solve the problem of local eye disease diagnosis and treatment, and enable eye disease patients far away in the frontier to receive high-quality eye treatment." President Liu Fei said that we will also make full use of this time to carry out free clinics, eye health science popularization, and publicity activities in the local area to further improve the local people's attention to their own eye health, so that this aid to Xinjiang and the restoration of Ming will go further and deeper.
At the event site, Director Song Hongnan presented the project team flag to Dean Liu Fei. After receiving the team flag, President Liu Fei said that the hospital will complete the aid project to Xinjiang with high standards and high quality, and send visual health to the people of Tumshuk City through the help of talents, technology, materials and other aspects, and submit a satisfactory answer sheet for the development of this project.

Contribute to the eye health of the people of Xinjiang. The oaths are sonorous and powerful, and the promises are inspiring, and the volunteers are more determined to complete the assistance task with high quality in the oath.

As an international ophthalmic medical chain group with a global layout, Aier Ophthalmology, which has received widespread attention for "creating a sustainable eye health public welfare ecology", was awarded the 12th "China Charity Award" in September this year, which is the third time it has won the award after 2018 and 2021.
